The existence of trees in the forest and/or in forestry plantations must be verified by third parties, so that environmental investors may be fully assured that their investment (tree) exists in a specific and geo-referenced (GPS) site.

 

This third party will issue a certificate that indicates the species, tree number, and location. Trees are coded and watched to ensure that if anything happens to the tree it will be replaced, as long as the source of the disappearance is not due to natural causes.

 

The client may select two alternate types of certification, whose purpose is to serve as a physical medium verifying his/her participation in the project. This certification will be recognized by environmental organizations such as Minae.
